Christmas in Nata Village would not have been possible if the following contributions from the Los Angeles Conservation Corps Clean and Green Program, California Conservation Corps, Northgate Lodge, Nata Lodge, and the Community Business People who send us plenty of packages, transport, and food supplies for the Village. This year six families and their children received plenty of awesome gifts and food. The Orphans and needey children were able to get clothing, plenty of candy, coloring books, and school supplies. They would like to thank everybody who made  this special event happen in Nata Village. They will look forward to 2009 and the support they get.

A new international body to promote renewable energy is to be established, in a move that its supporters insist has the potential to replace the global dominance of today’s harmful energy with wind, solar and other sustainable sources within a matter of years. Fifty-five governments have said they will commit themselves to full membership of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), at its founding conference in Bonn today. A total of 116 countries will take part.

IRENA aims to help both developing and industrialised countries transfer to renewable energy with practical advice to those who lack the knowhow. IRENA will give financial, practical and technological support to member countries such as Chad, which has a constant solar supply, but is almost wholly dependent on conventional energies such as gas and oil, to build solar power plants.

In today’s technology people are coming up with great ideas that would make everyday life a bit easier, well here’s an idea that might save some time, probably. How about a dinner plate that could heat up your food so it could stay warm, so that things won’t get cold later on. Also maybe if put enough heat through it you could just cook up a whole meal right in front of you. Of couse the downside is that there will be cords connected to it, but you got to admit it’s a pretty awsome idea.

Everybody knows the PSP(Playstation Portable), well in Japan the PSP will come in the following colors: red, green, blue, and yellow. The bad news? Yeah, it’s only in Japan. The RGBY PSPs will cost around $220, or come bundled with a 4 GB memory card, pouch and handstrap for $280. Considering PSP-3000’s go for $170, that’s a $50 premium you’d be paying just for a new color. Still, I think I would have been more receptive to buying a 3000 to replace my first gen PSP if it came in a purty color.

parrot-by-stark-zimku-10Parrot founder and CEO, Henri Seydoux, joined with industrial designing heavyweight, Philippe Stark, to bring forward the “Zikmu.” Which, surprising given its looks, the pair of French gentlemen consider a step forward for speaker functionality rather than aesthetics. It’s not enough to focus on the design alone, Starck told us, as the look will go out of date as fast as the parts. The important thing is to give people something they can use, and continue to use.

So the Zikmu came to be. The tall, sleek speakers are designed to work in pairs. It has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, features 360° NXT surround sound and can play music from a computer, iPods, and iPhones by way of the dock up top. It’s the dock that guides the rest of the trim design. Starck called our attention to the fact that the top of the speaker isn’t much larger than the iPhone it’ll cradle, with only enough room for a few buttons.

As for performance, a pair of Zikmu speakers will do pretty much what you want a more expensive set to do: rich sound, with all the highs and lows where they should be. They’d be perfect for easy listening in the living room or even a party. Really, this is a set that should appeal to anyone who digs the design, or wants a pair of fancy, no-brainer wireless speakers for their iPod or iPhone.

In my opinion what happened was that the people that help build the constitution knew that the United States was going to be and ever changing nation. There will be new cultures, religions, and races that would come to this country. So they needed a document that would stand for the people living in the States and that it would supply their needs in a law. This should be a document that could keep with the momodern economy and its problems.
